Military families face the challenge of finding safe, reliable child care with every PCS. A new Department of Defense website – MilitaryChildCare.com – will help ease this transition by simplifying the search and registration process.
MilitaryChildCare.com supports eligible families in requesting full day and part day care in DoD Child Development Programs (CDPs). These programs provide access to available, affordable, quality programs and services for children birth through 12 years in a safe environment.
The four types of DoD Child Development Programs include –
- Child Development Centers (CDCs)
- School Age Care (SAC) Programs
- Family Child Care (FCC)
- Child Development Homes (CDH)
The new site is easy to use and offers enhanced, streamlined communication. Email notifications are available to help families manage the child care request process. You may even search for child care options before you PCS!
It only takes four simple steps to find child care in your area:
- Create an account
- Search and request care
- Manage requests
- Update your profile
